Selena Gomez - an international singer and actress - is known as a household name. Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place, one of the biggest projects she was a part of and achieved the greatest success, is her project. The full name of Selena Marie Gomez is Selena Marie Gomez. Her birth date was July 22nd, 1993 in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett is her mother and Ricardo Gomez is her father. She was just 16 at the time Selena was born. She was nine when she got her first gig as a showgirl after she was offered the role of Gianna in Barney and her Friends.
